About FYI Diabetes
Working toward a functional cure — and what it could mean for the people who live with diabetes.
We are a group of people — families, scientists, and builders — who believe diabetes is a problem worth solving, not only a condition worth managing. We raise the money that funds promising research, and we help people understand the science that could change what living with this disease means.
A small organization with a single, stubborn goal.
FYI Diabetes funds scientific research aimed at restoring the body’s own ability to manage blood sugar, and we raise awareness so that families facing a diagnosis know what the science is actually working toward. Our focus is twofold: fund the research that takes the hardest questions seriously, and make sure the people who live with diabetes — many of them diagnosed as children — aren’t left out of the conversation about their own future.
Every project we back is chosen because it targets the disease itself, not just the daily work of managing it.
